Our Story
Al-Aghsan Foundation for Agricultural and Environmental Development, established in 2017, is an Iraqi national non-governmental
organization committed to green transformation and empowering vulnerable and youth groups through the adoption of green projects aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reducing emissions, and addressing the impacts of climate change.
The Foundation integrates environmental and climate responsibility, climate governance, and environmental justice into its strategic approach. It actively contributes to policy reform, advocacy, capacity building of government institutions, and represents Iraqi civil society in international forums
.
The Foundation also promotes environmental and societal responsibility by investing in resources, recycling water and waste, and supporting smart agriculture and the green economy.
